Help us help others  - free seeking safety in communities!

We are looking to develop free Seeking Safety that anyone can access in local communities, much the way 12-step groups are available to all.

This is a public health initiative-- our mission is to create a safe and accessible option open to all. There are currently no widespread free safe trauma groups in communities.

Seeking Safety is a strong choice for this purpose as it's an extremely safe, evidence-based model (including in peer-led format). Read more about Seeking Safety here if you are not familiar with it.

We welcome your involvement in any of the following ways:
  • Offer your ideas on how to make this initiative successful, using this brief form, which can be anonymous.
  • Lead a local free Seeking Safety group in your community. We will offer free guidance and support to help you launch and sustain it.
  • Conduct a free online Seeking Safety group via Zoom. We will help you create this.
  • Join research on this new initiative.

key points

  1. No $. This is an entirely free project. No one will be charged and no one will be paid for their participation.
  2. You can have as little or much involvement as you want and can end at anytime.
  3. For now we will focus on adults but may expand to family support and adolescents, and specialty groups.
  4.
