Explore the option to co-host a training at your location with Treatment Innovations
Let’s partner to create a training together! This is a new option starting in 2015. Treatment Innovations would be happy to co-host a training with you. We have done this before and it has worked out wonderfully.
There is flexibility on how co-hosting can work. Some ideas include…
1. The training would be at your location, which could be onsite at your agency or if more space is needed, at a local university, hotel, or other space.
2. The training would be open to your staff and also to staff or clinicians from other locations. There is a definite need for more open trainings that clinicians can sign up for, and a co-hosted training can be a fine way to do this. The training would be listed on the Treatment Innovations website, which can help draw attendees.
3. We can help obtain continuing education units (CEUs) if you would like. We have a company that we work with who can provide those at low cost; or if you already have a way to provide CEUs, that’s fine too.
4. We would work out the financials to create a 50/50 split between your entity and ours, after all costs are accounted for.
5. We would provide the trainer, who is certified by Lisa Najavits to provide her training.
Interested? Email [email protected] and put “co-host a training” in the subject line. We can chat about options, with no obiligation.

If you decide you would like to proceed...
So glad you’re interested in co-hosting a training with us. It really is a win-win that can help offset your training costs. Below is what you’ve already discussed with Jamie Miller, our training coordinator. The purpose of this email is just to verify our agreement in writing.
TI’s responsibilities:
--We will pos
Your organization’s responsibilities:
--Marketing locally and sending email blasts to people in your region
--Having someone present the day of the training to check people in and out
--Verifying the attendance of people who are claiming CEUs.
--If you choose, you can also handle registrations the day of the training at your location (but this is not required if you prefer to have us handle all of the registrations in advance).
Profit Sharing
The general idea is that TI and your organization will split profits 50/50. This means that you will reduce the cost of the training with the exact amount depending on how many people register and pay. (Your internal staff would of course not pay.) You would never pay an amount above the regular training cost.
The exact amount for the registration fee is agreed on jointly by you and TI. You can indicate what you believe is a reasonable registration cost in your area. In New York City and Los Angeles, the rates are $150-$160 per day but in smaller areas it’s been $100-$125/day.
An example to help make it clear:
A regular (non-cohost) 1 day training in 2019 = $2650 plus travel
A co-hosted 1 day training = a max of $2650 plus travel but for each person who pays registration, half of that is credited to reduce your total cost.
E.g., 25 people pay to register, each at $150, you get a credit of 25 x $75 = $1875. So instead of paying $2650 + travel, you would pay $2650-$1875 plus travel = $775 plus travel. If a lot of people register, you can totally offset the full training plus travel costs, and move “into the black” and gain profit. For example if 100 people registered it would be $7500 credit to you, which would fully cover the $2650 plus travel, and make a profit for you.
Books and CEUS
If desired, we can also provide these. If you’re interested, let us know. Here too, there would be a small 50/50 profit. We charge $42 for 6 CEU credit hours. For more information on CEUs please see the CEU page on our website. However, if you are able to provide CEUs that’s the best option.
Spreadsheet with the details
If helpful attached is a spreadsheet with a real-life example but we have omitted the name of the agency for confidentiality.
