Seeking Safety Webinar FAqs
If your question is not answered on this page, please contact Chris Jones at training@treatment-innovations.org.
After you attend this training, you are welcome to sign up for the Advanced Seeking Safety webinar on April 28, 2023. It is highly interactive with a lot of clinical exercises as well as the opportunity to share their successes, obstacles and case examples.
Schedule for the day
The schedule for the day includes a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks, one in the morning, one in the afternoon.
Technology Issues
We understand tech issues sometimes arise. Please see below for helpful information and refer to your IT department if you need additional assistance. Sorry, but you cannot ask the trainer for tech help unless everyone at the training is affected by the same issue. Our wonderful trainer needs to focus on the training and can't resolve tech issues.

- Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate your interest in Seeking Safety. Please note that during COVID, Guilford Press, the publisher of Seeking Safety, offered access to a pdf of the book handouts. At that time, there was no electronic version of Seeking Safety available. However Guilford Press offers an electronic version of the full book (a PDF) and thus they no longer allow the free handouts pdf. The e-book is currently discounted on their website, and is available through our store.
- Our powerpoint slides, unfortunately, are not distributed. However everything that is covered at the training is in the book and/or on our website (e.g., the section FAQs, implementation, library, etc.). We also have a Teaching Guide to Introduce Seeking Safety to others in your agency. There are various reasons why we stopped sharing the powerpoint some years ago but the gist is that we used to release the slides but then some people would take the slides, say they were trained by us, and then hold their own training on the model and give substantial misinformation. Thanks for understanding.
- Your unique Zoom link can’t be shared. Each link is unique to the individual and we use it to verify attendance. "Sharing is caring" except when it comes to Zoom links (it's unethical to share your link with anyone). If it occurs, neither person will receive any certificate-- no exceptions, regardless of reason, as we’re subject to audit for all certificates and are required to use Zoom’s automated attendance report.
- Thanks for your interest in CEs. You can see a list of types of CEs we offer. We cannot comment on what types will be accepted for any particular person but the list there is comprehensive. You can order it with this link.
- We do not refund CE purchases so if you’re not sure you attended enough of the training, see below for minimum attendance requirements.
- Certificates are issued within two weeks from the training date but we try to send them as soon as we can.
- Please note we can only issue attendance certificates and/or CEs if you attended at least 5 of the 6 teaching hours, as verified by the Zoom attendance report.

- This is most likely an issue with your internet, so the first step is to log off and back on, and do not worry as we will let you back in immediately. If this does not solve things, you may need to call in through a phone number. If you need to do this, please inform us via email (training@treatment-innovations.org) so you can receive credit for your attendance.
- If you don't have a microphone, you can call in through a phone number, as mentioned above. You will need to email us (training@treatment-innovations.org) so we know who the phone number belongs to. If we do not know who the number belongs to, we may not be able to admit you to the webinar, and you may not receive attendance credit.
