Join us for a 1-day live training on Seeking Safety hosted by Salt Lake Behavioral Health, featuring Lisa Najavits, Ph.D. This training is designed for anyone; no license, degree, or prior training is required.
Date: August 23rd, 2017
Location: Cottonwood County Club, 1780 Lakewood Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84117
Parking: Free on-site available parking
Schedule: 8:30am to 4:00pm (Registration 8:30am to 9:00am)
Educational objectives:
1) To review current understanding of evidence-based treatment of trauma and substance abuse;
2) To increase empathy and understanding of trauma and substance abuse;
3) To describe Seeking Safety, an evidence-based model for trauma and/or substance abuse;
4) To provide assessment and treatment resources.
5) To identify how to apply Seeking Safety for specific populations, such as homeless, adolescents, criminal justice, HIV, military/veteran, etc.

CEUs: CEUs are included in the training fee and are available at the completion of the training. This course meets the qualifications for six hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for CSWs, SSWs, CMHCs and/or LCSWs as required by the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing. Social Workers should check with their local regulatory board to determine course approval. If you would like some other type of CEUs we can provide them at an additional cost of $30; read here for the list of those.
Payment can be made via credit card on this website. You can also pay via check or institutional purchase order using the attached registration form.
Deadline for registration: online registrations will be accepted through August 18th; if space allows you can also register on-site on the day of the training (contact April Dubiner to verify space april.dubiner@uhsinc.com).
Cancellation policy: Sorry but we are not able to issue refunds or exchanges to another training date or location. However, if you register and are unable to attend you may transfer your registration for this training (same date, same location) to another person. Please email training@seekingsafety.org with the subject line "Transfer Registration" and include your contact information as well as the information of the person you are transferring the registration to.
